We are currently looking for a Field Service Technician for an Equipment Distributor located in the GTA.Primary responsibilities will include:<ul class="list-disc pl-8"><li>Provide on-site installation, repairs, and maintenance of CNC Machine Tool product line.</li><li>Through preventative and corrective maintenance, ensure customer equipment performs at an optimal level of quality and efficiency.</li><li>Diagnose and troubleshoot defects in CNC Machine Tools.</li><li>Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on CNC machines and test for proper performance.</li><li>Investigate customer complaints and perform analysis to determine the cause of the problem.</li><li>Act as a liaison with the customer and providing customer support so that products are used at an optimal level.</li><li>Determine which replacement parts will be needed for service calls and ensure that they are available.</li><li>Provide detailed and accurate service reports and documentation.</li><li>Maintain all company-provided equipment, including tools and company service vehicle.</li><li>Understand and follow all service operations and procedures and submit completed company-required paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.</li><li>Must be available to travel as customer demands require and do so within company provided directions and guidelines.</li><li>Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and requirements</li><li>Assist other Field Engineers as directed.</li></ul>Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:<ul class="list-disc pl-8"><li>Experience in technical field support - machine tools, automation, or electromechanical controls.</li><li>Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on CNC machines and test for proper performance.</li><li>Install, commission, and align CNC Machine Tools.</li><li>CNC programming knowledge is a preferred asset.</li><li>Must be customer oriented, conscientious and career minded as well as organized and possessing excellent people skills.</li><li>Good communication skills, have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel within Eastern Canada but predominantly in Southern Ontario.</li></ul>
